an intergenerational, transcontinental philadelphia love story. young buck producer amr* (n.b. no affiliation with the rapper young buck) reworks 'jaki' -- a gentle lullaby from nick sylvester's 'stereo music for breakbeats and samplers' debut -- into a gnarly, red-lined rave-up for the 0dBFS set. if you listen closely enough, you can hear the sound of traffic on the brooklyn-queens expressway from the year 2015, where amr* and sylvester first broke bread in the parking lot of hotel le jolie. a dancefloor weapon, especially if there is no dancefloor per se. for fans of 'mixing into the limiter.'
